Shelt Hill, Woodborough (Fishing)

Shelt Hill Farm & Fishery

Annual Fishing Rally

11th– 14th July

A huge thank you to Sue & Phil and John for marshaling the rally.

Great, quite site set in 100 acres of land made up of stunning lakes.

Friday night we all gathered for a get together and a drink in the social tent.

Saturday morning was the fishing competition. All the competitors drew numbers for a peg and the competition began.

Well done to everyone with over 200 pounds of fish being caught. Congratulations to Richard who won the 4cs cup with 53 lbs 7 oz. Lyn won the Keith Goodwin Shield for the heaviest fish of 3lbs 4oz. Harry won the junior trophy for his 22 lbs 2 ozs. A great day with lots of banter on the bank side.

Saturday evening we all gathered for the brilliant meal prepared by myself, Shelley and Sandra. Jacket potatoes with various filling and homemade cake. Thankyou Angie for making the cake. As always lots of choice and enough for seconds. After the meal we all gathered for a drink and lots of laughs in the social tent.

Sunday morning the trophies were given to the winners followed by the flag, the quiz winner and a raffle.

A super weekend had by all.
